Blue Inc is a UK based retailer steeped in history, the brand itself dates back to 1912.

They have an expanding online business, offering affordable fashion with unique designs in Menswear, Womenswear and Boyswear.

Lee Whitehead contacted us in Feb2018 for an initial conversation around recruiting for his replacement as Head of eCommerce.  Lee was leaving the business after a successful 4 years and wanted to make sure his replacement fitted the companies requirements.

A big hire for Blue Inc who are in times of change, their online presence is incrementing, driving its online platform using the powers of social media to increase our engagement with customers, primarily through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Our customers are predominately aged 11 – 25, which has the highest population density using social media.

We decided as a collective a Digital Search Proposition would be the best approach, we knew that potentially the correct candidate would be passive in the market and we wanted to be location agnostic when approaching potential talent.

The search proposition means that the client has full visibility on the recruitment process, from start to finish.  From the candidate’s perspective we engage the brand into our conversations from early on, gauging an interest and setting the tone of the role and perspective career progression from the get go.

We delivered a shortlist in an agreed period (2 weeks) and timelines were fixed for pre-screens and face to face meets early on.  From start of the process to offer we took a month, with an immediate available candidate starting in a week period from offer to start date.

Clear definition of expectations and requirements led to a streamlined DSP, a happy candidate and a satisfied client.

“Rebecca is very knowledgeable in the digital and ecommerce ‘world’ and I found her to be extremely professional. In my case, Rebecca really understood the position she was recruiting for. I found her a joy to work with as a candidate and she will definitely be my first port of call as a client. I would highly recommend Rebecca. “
